Shortly after her brief explanation, Arwen resumed walking alongside Ethan, moving in silence with an ethereal serenity.
Like every summons from the system, she had already received a stream of information directly into her mind, explaining exactly what was happening to her.
Being so ancient, it didn't take her long to grasp her current situation. Still, the origin of her summoning piqued her curiosity.
After all, not even the goddess of life herself should have been able to save her from the death she had suffered.
"What you said earlier, my young human Lord, about being my future husband…" Arwen turned her face toward Ethan, her eyes narrowing slightly. "Was that a joke?"
"And why would it be?" Ethan replied, a faint smile curving his lips. "I am an ambitious man."
"I can see that." Arwen nodded, a slight flush spreading across her pale cheeks, tinging her ivory skin with a delicate pink hue.
The realization that she was blushing made her smile to herself.
