Life in Goldenveil was buzzing with excitement.
The few players present in the city had already completed the mission Ethan had assigned them without much difficulty.
Shortly thereafter, they received a new task in exchange for the Lord's support: to entertain the public.
There was, of course, a huge difference between sending Goldenveil's soldiers into the Arena—men whom Ethan would never allow to die—and putting the players there, who could die and respawn at will.
They could die without worry. Since Ethan had already recognized them, all they had to do was respawn at Goldenveil Cathedral—even though the location hadn't yet been officially opened to players.
Players were a much better source of entertainment.
