She moved behind him again, letting her hands drift along the lines of his body, not touching more than necessary, but making sure he knew she could. She whispered nothing. Said nothing. The silence between them became another language, precise and sharp, built from instinct and attention.

"You are learning quickly," he said, voice low, even, controlled.

She did not respond. No words would hold weight here. Only action mattered. Only the proof that she could meet his standard without faltering.

Then a pause. The music pulsed softly, deliberately, marking the rhythm of a room that had become a testing ground, a stage, a battlefield.

"Frightened," he said finally, almost contemplatively. "Still. Not gone. But present in the right measure. That will do, for now."
