Something inside Daniella shattered.
Anger, despair, and raw betrayal fused into a single, burning force. She lunged forward, the gun shaking in her grip, and struck at them with the butt of the weapon, knocking both men off balance. Every ounce of helplessness and fury poured out in that violent motion.
"It's all your fault!" she screamed, voice raw and breaking. "All your fault! How could you let this happen? How could you drag me into this?"
"You are my father... The man who is supposed to protect me! How could be like this! How could you call yourself a husband and father?" Daniella was truly at the end.
Gabriel's face was pale, jaw tight with defiance even now. "It's your fault, you wretched girl," he spat back. "You didn't do what he told you to do! If you had obeyed, none of this would have happened. He could have paid!"
