She wasn't there.
By then, Catalina had already been informed.
Stepping into the nursery, she immediately sensed the tension written across everyone's faces.
"What happened?"
The nanny lowered her head respectfully.
"Madam... we can't find Mrs. Gabriel."
Catalina's expression tightened.
"What do you mean you can't find her?"
"We've searched the entire family wing," the nanny explained carefully. "Her bedroom is empty... and several of her suitcases are gone."
Without saying another word, Catalina walked into Gabriel and Felicia's bedroom herself.
Unlike the servants, she noticed details they would never think to look for.
Felicia's favorite handbag was missing.
The passport holder she always kept inside the bedside drawer was gone.
Several dresses had disappeared from the wardrobe, leaving obvious gaps among the neatly arranged clothing that remained.
There was no note.
No message.
Nothing to suggest she intended to return.
