Chapter 17 - The Strongest Fluff Of Today

[Musutafu - Guardian Avenue - Plus Ultra Cafe - Metal's POV]

A family of four sat at one of the outdoor tables of a nice café.

All the tables seemed to be decorated with the faces of Pro Heroes from around the city, while the tarp providing shade had All Might's signature smile printed on it.

Metal's voice kept its sinister tone, but its volume had gone down drastically.

The arm wrapped around Metal's waist tightened, pressing his back harder against Mei's chest.

"And?"

Squeeze!

[Warning: Internal Structure Compromised]

"No."

"Mei, don't put too much pressure on Metal. You're going to snap him in two," Kyosuke said before taking a gulp out of his third cup of coffee.

Mei looked down at Metal's small form for a moment before huffing and lifting him up to sit him on the edge of the table facing her.

Then she proceeded to grab his long nose and squeeze it.

Miku, who was sitting in the chair on her husband's right side, stared at Metal's body as she spoke up.

"I'm glad that Metal is back, but is that really the best you could find?" the woman asked as her eyes moved towards her husband.

"Hey, we're lucky there was even anything related to him in that store. The character Metal is based on might as well be as ancient as Cleopatra at this point."

Kyosuke went to raise his hand to ask for more coffee, but his wife grabbed his wrist.

"Ahem... anyways, it was this or leaving him as a literal peanut until we finished his new body."

Miku released her husband's wrist while raising an eyebrow in confusion.

"A peanut?"

[Nighttime - U.A. Conference Room]

Inside a small private room, six Pro Heroes were seated around a U-shaped meeting table, while in the center stood a suit-wearing man known as Naomasa Tsukauchi.

"I'm sorry to say this, but there doesn't seem to be anyone registered as 'Tomura Shigaraki' with a Quirk that allows him to disintegrate things. The same goes for his accomplice 'Kurogiri'."

"What about the captured villains? Did they have any information?" Midnight asked while leaning on her elbows and interlocking her hands.

The detective moved through the papers in his hands while shaking his head.

"The interrogations are still ongoing due to the large number of individuals, but so far all of them seem to be lowlifes without any useful information."

Nezu leaned forward while grabbing the papers in front of him, then leaned back in his seat.

"Were you able to find anything about the villain named 'Nomu'?"

"The remains were taken to the lab by the forensic team for analysis, but it seems that the results are going to take a while to come in since the scientists are having a hard time with it."

Naomasa adjusted his tie before continuing.

"All we know for sure comes from the testimonies provided by some of the students and Eraserhead, claiming that the villain had a strong regeneration Quirk. Either way, I will be archiving the incident report as a case of self-defense, considering the extreme circumstances."

"We appreciate it, Naomasa," Toshinori said while giving his friend a small nod.

The detective smiled softly at his friend.

"Just doing my part. U.A. is going to have a lot on its plate, so might as well make it a bit easier."

"They're going to be a pain to deal with once their leader recovers," Snipe leaned back in his chair while placing the papers back in front of him. "Though, considering the injuries he sustained, it should be a while before they try anything else."

"Are we even sure he survived?"

Vlad King asked while tapping the papers in front of him with his index finger.

"Three students stated that his whole upper body caught on fire for at least five seconds. Even if he was still breathing by the end of it, you just don't brush off something like that."

"It's safer to assume he's still alive," Nezu said with his permanent smile on his face, as if he wasn't discussing the topic of a person being burned alive.

"Considering the resources this new organization displayed, it's completely plausible that their leader will recover."

"I don't believe this 'Tomura Shigaraki' is the leader," Aizawa's muffled voice came from behind the bandages covering his whole face, making the room focus on him.

"His plan was rushed and showed a clear lack of experience. He didn't seem to have any concern for the other members of his group, and his mood changed drastically in the span of a few seconds."

Aizawa pulled slightly on the bandage below his eyes.

"I've dealt with similar villains in the past, but as a teacher, the image I have of Tomura Shigaraki is that of a spoiled man-child."

Aizawa's gaze focused on Toshinori.

"He also mentioned something when I tried to erase Nomu's Quirk..."

"Oh? And what would that be?" Nezu asked while following Aizawa's gaze.

"Nomu was made to be the Anti-Symbol of Peace."

[U.A. - Class 1A Homeroom - Toru's POV]

'I wonder if Hatsume is already healed... I should go and check at lunch. I'm sure she's fixing Metal right now, right?'

Toru let out a sigh before slumping forward on her desk.

"Did you guys see the news yesterday? We were all on TV!"

Sero said, trying to lift the gloomy feeling that seemed to spread from the empty seat beside him.

"Yeah... That was cool, I guess," Ashido answered while resting her chin on her palm.

...

"The news wouldn't stop talking about us!"

Sero tried again after a few seconds of silence.

This time the one who answered was Jiro as she twirled one of her earphone jacks around her index finger.

"Well, duh, it's the first time villains have attacked U.A."

...

...

...

SLAM!

"Enough with the depressive bullshit!"

Bakugo's voice echoed through the classroom after he slammed his right fist on his desk.

"It's making me angry!"

"Dude, one of us blew up, literally," Kaminari said while leaning back on his desk.

"And? It was a damn clanker!"

'Douchebag...'

"Well yeah, but he did it to protect us, right?" Kirishima spoke up, making Bakugo turn around in his chair. "It would be unmanly to just ignore that..."

"'He' was the equivalent of a fridge with legs!"

'So loud.'

"Fridges don't talk, ribbit," Asui put her right index finger on her cheek as her eyes moved towards the ceiling for a moment. "And that Hatsume girl was crying over him too."

Bakugo rolled his eyes and scoffed while turning his chair back around again.

"She can just make another one, big de—"

"Will you just shut up already?!"

The students' eyes widened as Toru spun her chair around to stare at Bakugo.

"What's your deal with Metal anyways? Are you salty because he got first place in the entrance exam?"

Veins strained on Bakugo's forehead as his palms started smoking slightly.

"The fuck did you just say to me, bitch?!"

The sleeves of Toru's blazer crossed in front of her chest.

"What you heard. Do you want me to spell it out?" Toru said before scoffing. "Maybe Metal was right when he said you're mentally ill."

Pop, pop, pop.

"DO YOU WANT TO DIE?!"

"Shut up. I'm not in the mood to deal with a cat fight."

The whole class focused on the podium as their teacher stood there with his whole head covered in bandages.

'When did he get there?!' Toru thought as she spun her chair back around while Bakugo burned holes through her invisible head.

"Mr. Aizawa, you're back?!"

"We're glad to see you in good health, Mr. Aizawa!" Iida said with his hand raised up.

"You call that 'good health'?..." Uraraka muttered from behind Iida.

"My well-being is not of your concern. What concerns you is that the fight is still not over..."

Aizawa stated while adjusting a bandage on his forehead so it would stop pulling on his hair.

"M-More villains?!" Mineta's voice trembled as he grabbed his head in despair at the thought.

"The U.A. Sports Festival is just around the corner..."

...

"A super normal school eve—"

Kirishima's words cut off as Kaminari pressed his palm against the redhead's cheek.

"Shhh!"

"Is it wise to hold the event right after a villain attack?" Jiro asked as she looked at her teacher with concern.

"I will give you more information, but first, can someone help Metal get on his desk?"

"Huh?"

The whole class turned in sync to look at Metal's desk before slowly moving their gazes down towards the floor, where they found a 15-inch (38 cm) blue plushie trying to reach its seat.

"Excuse me, but what in the actual fuck?"

---

[U.A. Cafeteria - Metal's POV]

Metal's voice rang out from his small body as Kaminari held him in front of his face.

"You're the ugliest plushie I've seen my whole life, no offense," the yellow-haired boy said while trying to hold back a laugh.

[Activating Flashbang...

Ready]

"Why is your face turning wh—"

THWOOM!

"SHIT!"

Kaminari's hands went to his eyes after Metal's small screen turned into a blinding light.

One of Jiro's jacks extended from her earlobe before wrapping around the falling Metal and stopping him from hitting the floor.

Then the girl set the plushie down on its feet on top of the table.

"You were literally asking for it, dunce."

Metal held his little arms to the sides to balance himself as he slowly walked like a penguin towards Yaoyorozu.

PBFFRT!

Toru, who was sitting in front of Kaminari, spilled the water she was drinking all over the boy's face before coughing.

"Um, may I ask why?" Yaoyorozu asked while looking at Metal's bizarre face.

"I'm not sure if I'll have the time. I need to train for the Sports Festival..."

"So that's what her Quirk does?"

Mei, now changed into another set of pajamas, asked Metal as she kept squeezing his long nose with her right hand.

"I see..."

Squeeze, squeeze!

[Overcharging Batteries...

Mei held Metal up by his nose before leaning back against the headboard of the bed and dropping the small plushie on her lap.

"Metal, I need you to ask for booba's girl number. A Quirk like that could speed things up a looot!"

"What? I forgot her name!"

Metal's small lens flickered for a moment as he stared at his mother's yellow eyes.

Mei tilted her head slightly to the right in confusion.

"You did?"

...

...

<...What if she refuses the request?>

"Then you'll use your newfound charm! First you put your hands up like this, make a small glint appear in your eyes, and say..."

[Metal's POV]

...

...

...

"Ah... Well..."

Metal waved his little arms up and down while staring right at Yaoyorozu's eyes.

"I guess the class does owe you since you defeated that villain and all... but I'll only help for a couple of days!" Yaoyorozu said, before quickly averting her eyes from Metal's.

[Completed Task: Get Booba's Girl Number]

Snap!

Metal's small head slowly turned to the left to find Toru holding her phone after snapping a photo.

"No way! I'm saving this for when we create a class chat group. It'll be the icon!"

Yaoyorozu let out a soft hum at Toru's words before speaking up.

"That's not a bad idea. I don't know why I didn't think of making a chat group before."

"I'll help you get everyone's numbers after class!"

Anyways here's the state our Metal Overlord is currently in.

One last thing, does anyone know if classes continue in U.A. on the week after the Aizawa speaks of the festival? I'm assuming the second one is golden week but i couldn't find any information saying if they also get the first week free to train or something.
