Chapter 3 - Learning to Be Strong

The teasing didn't stop.

For days… then weeks.

Sometimes it was loud laughter.

Sometimes it was whispers when she passed by.

Sometimes just someone saying, "I like you," in a fake dramatic voice.

At first, it hurt every single time.

Ariana would lower her eyes.

Walk faster.

Pretend she didn't hear.

But slowly…

Something inside her began to change.

Maybe pain teaches faster than books.

She started ignoring them.

When someone teased her, she didn't react.

When someone laughed, she stayed quiet.

And when Ethan avoided looking at her, she stopped looking at him too.

It wasn't easy.

But she was learning.

Learning that not every feeling needs to be explained.

Learning that not everyone deserves her honesty.

Learning that growing up sometimes means becoming stronger.

Board exams were getting closer.

The classroom atmosphere changed.

Less laughter.

More notes.

More tension.

Even the same boys who used to tease her were now busy revising chapters.

For Ariana, this was familiar territory.

Books.

Silence.

Focus.

She felt safe again.

Late-night studies.

Practice papers.

Highlighters and sticky notes everywhere.

She told herself something one night while studying.

"I will not let one mistake define me."

And she meant it.

Exams came.

One by one.

Math. Science. Literature. Social Studies.

Each paper felt like a small battle.

But she fought quietly.

Confidently.

And when the last exam ended, she walked out of the hall feeling lighter than she had in months.

Summer vacation arrived.

For the first time since the rejection, she smiled without thinking about it.

When school reopened after summer…

Everything felt different.

New class.

New classroom.

Some students had changed sections.

Some friendships had faded.

And somehow…

The teasing had stopped.

It felt like that chapter of her life had quietly closed.

She wasn't the same girl anymore.

She stood straighter.

Spoke a little more confidently.

And didn't blush so easily.

Maybe she had grown up.

Just a little.

That's when something new entered their world.

An online chatting website.

Everyone was talking about it.

"You can talk to anyone."

"It's anonymous."

"You don't even have to show your real name."

Students were excited.

Some were laughing about the strangers they met.

Some were secretly texting during class.

Ariana listened quietly.

She had never used anything like that before.

Talking to strangers?

Was that safe?

Was it strange?

But curiosity slowly grew inside her.

What if… she could talk freely there?

What if she could be herself without people teasing her?

What if no one knew who she was?

That night, she opened her laptop.

Her fingers hovered over the keyboard.

Should she?

Or shouldn't she?

After a few seconds of hesitation…

She created an account.

Username: SilentStar15

She didn't know…

That the first message she was about to receive…

Would change everything.
