"Why are we going back there... I don't want to go back there Adal. I appreciate that you want to help, but I—"
"Did you love John?" Adal cut off her question.
They were nearing the Pearlington Estate now. The entire walk, Juliette had cried.
She looked at Adal, but the man didn't return her gaze. He continued walking, looking forward.
"N-no.. of course not."
"That is good."
...
They arrived at the estate. The garden was large, with a gate guarded by two knights on duty.
However, they were both asleep, slacking on the job.
Adal guided her around the back of the estate. As he did, the woman's eyes went wide.
"Where are we going... Wait, we aren't breaking in, are we?"
Adal laughed as they arrived at a spot well out of sight from the streets. Afterwards, he leapt over the gate, and offered a hand to Juliette, hoping that she would climb too.
"Just trust me." Was all he said.
All of a sudden, a look of nervous excitement spread across her face.
