Chapter 50 - About the Time Vessel Association (Part 1)

To be honest, Luo Yu didn't remember much about Jujutsu Kaisen.

The things that stuck in his memory were mostly figures like Toji Fushiguro, Sukuna, Satoru Gojo, and the mysterious brain that had taken over Suguru Geto's body.

After all, once the manga reached its later stages, people weren't really following it for the story anymore. Instead, readers were mostly watching the author stir up chaos with increasingly outrageous developments. It practically turned into a comedy spectacle.

But Luo Yu was now living in the real world.

He obviously couldn't treat these matters as casual entertainment.

The false Suguru Geto, the numerous Special Grade Cursed Spirits, and Ryomen Sukuna were all real existences here.

As for the Time Vessel Association, Luo Yu only knew a few basic pieces of background information—things related to Master Tengen and the like.

After thinking for a moment, he replied to Yukino's message.

Luo Yu:

"I don't know the details either. I only know a few surface-level things. Let's talk about it during lunch. It's hard to explain clearly through messages."

Seeing his response, Yukino immediately realized there was indeed something unusual behind it, so she didn't press the issue further.

At noon, because Miko had been dragged to the cafeteria by her friend Hana Yurikawa, she couldn't join Luo Yu and Yukino for lunch today.

So the two of them ended up eating together alone.

When the final bell rang and the teacher left the classroom after dismissing the class, Yukino turned to Luo Yu.

"Let's go."

Luo Yu nodded. After putting his books into the desk drawer, he asked, "Do you want to stop by the convenience store?"

Yukino paused for a moment, sensing the state of her own body before replying.

"That shouldn't be necessary. My progress seems faster than expected. I didn't need to eat as much this morning."

"Alright. Let's go."

The two of them left the classroom together.

Sitting in front of Luo Yu, the blonde twin-tailed girl Eriri was also leaving with several other girls. She glanced curiously at the pair as they walked away.

Normally, Eriri occasionally spoke with Luo Yu during class and sometimes asked him about things she hadn't understood in the lesson.

But she had never expected the relationship between Luo Yu and Yukino to suddenly become this close.

Had something interesting happened between them?

No, no, she couldn't think about it too much.

If she kept imagining things, her mind would start wandering into questionable territory.

Quickly shaking her head, she followed the other girls out of the classroom and headed toward the cafeteria.

Luo Yu, of course, understood perfectly well what kind of attention would arise from walking around school with a beautiful girl like Yukino.

However, both he and Yukino were the type who simply didn't care about other people's gazes.

While chatting quietly, they soon arrived at the clubroom.

As Yukino took out the key and opened the door, Luo Yu glanced at the sign hanging beside it.

It read: Service Club.

For the first time, he couldn't resist making a comment.

"This name… somehow it makes the club sound like it's meant for a completely different kind of 'service.'"

The moment she heard that, Yukino's hand froze while opening the door.

Although she was the daughter of a prestigious family and had lived a relatively sheltered life, the modern internet was far too widespread for her to remain completely naïve. Naturally, she understood exactly what Luo Yu meant.

She had never thought about it that way before.

But now that the idea had been planted, the more she looked at the club sign, the stranger it felt.

Her expression became increasingly awkward.

Luo Yu silently chuckled when he saw the girl's ears gradually turning red. Without saying anything, he followed her inside.

Bang.

The door closed behind them.

Hearing the sound, Yukino's body trembled almost imperceptibly.

Luo Yu's earlier remark, combined with the fact that they were now alone together in an enclosed room, inevitably caused her thoughts to wander.

After taking two steady breaths, she walked to her seat and sat down, trying to maintain a calm tone.

"This club was established to help people. If someone misunderstands the name, it simply means they are not the type of person I need to assist. For now… let's eat lunch first."

The forced attempt to change the topic was so obvious that Luo Yu almost laughed out loud.

He barely managed to hold it in, then sat down beside Yukino, took out his lunchbox, and began eating with her.

As they ate, Luo Yu started explaining what he knew about the Time Vessel Association.

"The Time Vessel Association is a religious group that has existed for roughly a thousand years. It's connected to a particular jujutsu sorcerer—one who holds an extremely special status in history. He possessed extraordinary barrier techniques and made enormous contributions to the jujutsu world."

"He's called Master Tengen. Some sorcerers even refer to him respectfully as Lord Tengen."

Yukino looked surprised.

"It's actually related to jujutsu sorcerers?"

Luo Yu nodded.

"That's right. But nowadays, ordinary believers usually don't know any of this. Only the upper ranks are aware. Over time, the organization has built countless hidden connections. Even if most people in the outside world know little about it, their influence definitely spreads through many places—especially in Tokyo."

Then he looked at her.

"You asked me about this… Did something happen?"

Yukino pressed her lips together and set down her chopsticks.

"The banquet we're attending on Friday… my sister said the invitation was delivered by someone from the Time Vessel Association."

"But the banquet itself isn't organized by them. The host is the Shinomiya conglomerate."

"The Shinomiya conglomerate?"

Luo Yu raised an eyebrow.

Immediately, he remembered a very famous manga he had read before: Kaguya-sama: Love Is War.

The title alone was ridiculously long.

Most of the earlier story arcs had been excellent. But later on, the plot began to include increasingly strange developments, and the reading experience steadily declined. Fortunately, the author eventually wrapped it up with a relatively decent ending instead of dragging it out forever.

After arriving in this world, Luo Yu had also seen information about the Shinomiya conglomerate online. It was an extremely influential financial empire.

However, since he lived in Chiba, he hadn't paid much attention to it before.

Taking another bite of rice, Luo Yu looked at Yukino.

"If the Shinomiya conglomerate is involved, then the people interacting with them definitely won't be ordinary believers of the Time Vessel Association. Among the higher ranks, there will certainly be jujutsu sorcerers involved. There's even a possibility that cursed spirits could be present."

"Did they say what the theme of the banquet is?"

Yukino shook her head.

"My sister said it's just a large social banquet. The Shinomiya family holds events like this several times every year—to promote business cooperation, networking, and to demonstrate their influence."

"But when she mentioned the Time Vessel Association, she seemed confused as well. Clearly, she doesn't know the details either."

After a brief pause, Yukino asked quietly,

"So… should we even attend this banquet?"

Luo Yu smiled.

"You've already accepted the invitation. And since it's from the Shinomiya family, your family can't possibly refuse to attend."

"As for the rest, you don't need to worry."

He continued calmly.

"This Friday, Ranni and I will go to Tokyo as well. If nothing happens, then everything will be fine. But if something does happen, we can help handle it."

"Besides, I've been wanting to visit Tokyo anyway."

With Luo Yu's assurance, Yukino visibly relaxed.

"Thank you, Luo Yu."

"It's nothing."

Although Luo Yu described it casually, the matter was incredibly important to Yukino.

Even though she had her disagreements with her family, they were still her family.

She didn't want anything unexpected to happen to them.

After finishing lunch, Yukino didn't immediately return to the classroom.

Instead, under Luo Yu's watchful gaze, she calmly picked up the kettle, boiled water, and prepared a pot of tea with graceful, practiced movements.
