The day immediately following the moment Morthios and Euphemia, now both level 2, became the new captains were all a buzz with games, and some light training meant to build ties between everyone.
The villagers came around to give some well wishes after the news had made its way around. Some really didn't want them to leave, largely because they know what dangers lurk out in the world, however, no one voiced their concerns nor worries.
The reason they simply came to deliver thanks and well wishes with a smile was simple. The villagers had been training to protect their home, they knew that the day they would lose the world's strongest was nearing. And now, that day has finally arrived. Bell, Ceraunius, Gamelia, and Zaria were all packed up and ready for their departure.
It wasn't just their family that saw them off, it was the majority of the village. There were some with tears in their eyes, though none more than Hera, she was teetering on the edge of demanding that at least Zaria stay, but that would then require Bell to stay behind too. While Hera really wanted that to happen, this was also a rare moment she could get her idiot husband to stay more faithful.
"Bell, watch your sister's back. And make sure none of the unworthy boys go after her." Zeus said, barely hiding his trembling tone, Hera noticed it though.
"I will, grandpa! Only the best for my sister!" Bell said with a childish smile, and a proud pose.
"Good. We'll come to visit you in Orario as soon as we can." Zeus smiled this time his tremble was gone.
"Zaria, you do the same for your brother. Keep all the bad women from him." Hera started.
"Hehehe, I will, grandma. If they can't love him at least as much as me, then they aren't worthy of my brother. The bar is high." Zaria nodded with a proud smile, throwing herself onto Bell with a hug, nuzzling cheeks.
"Ah, Zaria… There's people."
"Awe don't worry."
"Pfft, I wouldn't mind seeing that happen. You'd be more like us than you think." Hera giggled, wiping a tear from her eye.
"Morthios." Ceraunius called out, making eye contact. No words needed to be shared. "I don't feel the need to repeat myself, but even so. When next I see you, I will be testing your progress."
"I'll be ready for that big brother. If you're not careful I might just surpass you." Morthios smirked, with a confident pose.
"Euphemia… I'll be testing you next time as well. Try to make progress with everything. Remember I love you, little sister…"
"Big sister, the next time you see me I swear I'll have B cups!" Euphemia declared, causing quite a few chuckles, and supportive cheers for her. "And next time I want to see your and big brother's baby!"
"Pfft, we won't be wasting any time after our arrival." Gamelia giggled.
"Ceraunius, Gamelia watch over them, and good luck. May you be successful in your future endeavors." Zeus said…
"Remember what Bheara said, and never lose sight of the love you two share. You're the model married couple. I'm excited to see what you'll do in the future." Hera praised.
""We will not fail, the dragon will suffer.""
A few more minor gifts were given to the group on their way out. And then, with some more tearful smiles, Zaria jumped up into Ceraunius' arms, Bell jumped into Gamelia's. Over the more recent time they had grown closer with their opposites, becoming extremely comfortable with both of them.
Ceraunius chuckled, Gamelia giggled, and then, carrying everyone away, Ceraunius and company became a bolt of lightning and traveled the sky at a mind blowing speed for everyone watching.
"Heh, show off. You just had to give us one last lesson before you left, big brother."
"Yeah they're really strong. Let's get stronger so we can give them a good show next time we see them!" Euphemia said, her hands trembling as they closed into fists.
"Yeah, I'd like to help get revenge on the dragon too. We may not have known them, but we are their reincarnations, we should get strong enough to at the very least not slow the rest of them down." Morthios said.
"This time the two of you have a massive leg up. The spells you have are nothing short of remarkable." Zeus chuckled.
"We'll get ready to leave the village in a couple weeks. But we will still be using this place as our main home." Hera said.
"The home of our familia's rebirth." Zeus smiled on the house with a warm expression.
…
Moments later, people of Orario stopped in their tracks and pointed to the sky, at something that seemed to circle the city a few times.
This was of course Ceraunius showing Bell and Zaria a birds eye view of the whole city, all finishing up their rounds landing outside of the city's southern gate. This time the one on guard duty there was Shakti.
So, when Ceraunius made his landing, the sound of lightning crackling and pounding of thunder was enough to cause quite a few problems for everyone. However, it was only people who were afflicted, animals were seemingly uncaring, a horse seemed to be exasperated at their master for flinching at something harmless. Harmless in the sense it wouldn't hurt anyone unless the owner actually wanted it to.
"Hey there, Shakti. How're you doing? Oh and how's Ilta doing?" Gamelia cheerfully greeted as she shifted Bell into a more comfortable position.
"Oh, I'm alright, but uh, what exactly are you doing here? You don't have permission to be in the city limits unless you're going to the dungeon."
"We've come to make good on our promise, and join a familia." Ceraunius said with a smile, shifting Zaria to a more comfortable position for her.
"Wait, you're joining a new familia?"
"Yes, and we won't be stopped."
"Nor dissuaded."
""We have been promised a new home in Orario, we are here to make good on it.""
"Please wait a moment…"
"Shakti, they may pass. I have been informed they do not belong to a banned familia anymore. For I am Ganesha! AHAHAHA!"
"Huh? Uh… Alright." She shrugged, half thankful she had a reason to back down. "Not like I could have stopped you anyway…" She muttered.
"Pfft, that's the first step to growing stronger. Recognizing your own limits." Gamelia gave a small heap of praise.
