Training Ground Four. Sunlight filtered through the dense canopy, scattering shifting patterns of light and shadow across the grass.

Shinichi's main body stood beside Tsunade at the edge of the field while two of his shadow clones worked with Kurenai and Shizune inside.

One clone faced Kurenai and got straight to the point. "Kurenai, you're skilled with both kenjutsu and genjutsu. Today I'm going to teach you a combined combat style—Konoha Style: Willow."

"Konoha Style: Willow?" Kurenai blinked, curiosity lighting up her red eyes.

"It's a technique created by a very powerful senior," the clone explained. "It fuses genjutsu and swordsmanship into a single composite attack. In battle you open with Konoha Style sword forms while simultaneously activating a specific genjutsu. The enemy feels as if you've vanished among the wind-blown leaves, their body temporarily bound and unable to move. Then you strike—swift, piercing, one decisive blow. It's a fast, nearly impossible-to-dodge assassination sword art."

He paused, then added, "Overall learning difficulty: S-rank."

"S-rank?!" Kurenai's eyes widened. That was already secret-technique level.

"I… can I really learn something like that?" Self-doubt flickered across her face.

"Of course you can," the clone said firmly, encouraging her. "You already have solid foundations in both areas, which makes you the perfect candidate. And it doesn't demand perfection right away. We'll break it down step by step—starting with basic sword forms and the precise timing of the genjutsu. The S-rank rating is for the fully mastered, flawless version. Right now we're just laying the foundation."

The hesitation in Kurenai's eyes slowly melted into resolve. She nodded. "I understand. Thank you, Shinichi."

"Mm. Let's begin. First, try to combine your sword swing with…"

At the same time, the second clone stood in front of Shizune and cut right to business.

"Shizune, today we'll deepen the conversion and application between Mystic Palm Technique and Chakra Scalpel."

The clone held out his hand, palm up.

A gentle green glow full of vitality bloomed first—the healing Mystic Palm. Then the light shifted subtly; the edges sharpened into a pale-blue sheen—the lethal Chakra Scalpel.

"Both techniques are fundamentally refined chakra control concentrated in the hand," the clone explained in detail. "The key differences lie in output frequency, condensation shape, and the intent when interacting with living tissue." He went on to cover fine adjustments to chakra control, gradient management of output strength, and how to switch seamlessly between "repair" and "cutting" modes depending on the wound or surgical need.

Shizune listened with total focus, asking sharp questions whenever something wasn't clear.

The clone answered each one patiently and guided her through targeted drills.

At the edge of the field, Tsunade leaned against a thick tree trunk with her arms folded. The leaf-shadows made it hard to read her expression.

She watched everything in silence.

Kurenai kept trying to weave genjutsu into her sword forms under the clone's guidance—still rough, but the direction was clear.

Shizune was absorbed in the delicate conversion of medical chakra in her palm. Sweat beaded on her forehead, yet her eyes were bright and her progress was obvious.

Both girls were working hard and making real, visible gains.

Yet the one teaching them wasn't their actual instructor.

It was the much younger boy on their team who seemed capable of anything.

Does this kid really teach that well?

I've been teaching them seriously too. Why do they improve so much faster when he's the one guiding them?

Tsunade tilted her head slightly toward Shinichi and grumbled with a touch of frustration, "Tch. Watching your shadow clone teach so smoothly while Kurenai and Shizune make such obvious progress… it kinda makes me, their actual instructor, look useless."

Shinichi turned to her with a clean, warm smile and answered naturally, "How could that be? The reason I can think of these things is because I'm your student, Tsunade-sensei. I've been watching how you guide us and analyze cases every day. I've just absorbed some of the methods through osmosis. At the end of the day, I'm just putting into practice what you've taught me."

"You little brat." Tsunade snorted with a laugh, her earlier irritation easing a bit. "Always saying such sweet things. I don't even know who you learned that smooth-talking mouth from."

Her gaze drifted back to Kurenai and Shizune training hard in the field. The smile on her face gradually faded, replaced by a deeper, quieter look.

After a long moment she spoke again, her voice noticeably lower.

"Both of them actually have quite a bit of talent for medical ninjutsu. Especially Shizune—she's had a solid foundation since she was little under my guidance, and she's very meticulous. Kurenai's main focus is different, but she picks things up quickly too." Tsunade paused, choosing her words carefully. "I'm thinking of arranging for them to do more systematic study and internships at Konoha Hospital soon, training them toward becoming proper medical-nin. What do you think?"

Shinichi didn't hesitate. He nodded in agreement. "I think it's a great idea, Tsunade-sensei. Systematic hospital training will solidify their foundations, and exposure to more cases will help them accumulate experience quickly. Even if they don't become full-time medical-nin later, this experience will be extremely valuable for their future development."

"And what about you?"

Tsunade suddenly turned to face him, her gaze direct and unusually serious.

"Your talent and progress in medical ninjutsu are obvious to everyone. Quite a few senior medical-nin at the hospital have privately told me that your current level has already surpassed many of them." Her tone softened, taking on a persuasive note. "You could also work at the hospital as a proper medical-nin. With your talent, you'd quickly become a core member—or even one of the best. Besides…"

She paused, searching for a more convincing argument.

"Medical-nin are also serving the village. They're an indispensable part of Konoha. Saving comrades on the rear lines, protecting their lives, and providing solid support for the shinobi on the frontlines—this kind of contribution is no smaller than charging into battle. In some ways, it's even more important. It can truly save lives and prevent tragedies."

When she finished, she looked at him quietly, waiting for his answer.

For a moment, only the distant sounds of training and the rustle of leaves in the wind filled the space.

Shinichi remained silent for a long time before finally speaking.

"Tsunade-sensei… thank you."

"Heh. I figured."

Tsunade let out a short, dry laugh—half disappointment, half resignation—and turned her head away without another word.
