The next morning was weekened and Stephanie didn't go to work as usual. She went to the kitchen and cooked breakfast. After that , She took her bath and woke the twins up to also do same. They went to the Arthur's mansion after they finished their breakfast. When they came back at five in the evening, Stephanie went to the kitchen to prepare supper. About thirty minutes of being in the kitchen, the door bell rang. "Don't worry mommy, I will go and get it." Arya ran to the door and opened it. The moment she saw the man's face her eyes widened. She immediately called her twin brother Obed to come and take a look. When the young boy came, he also stood beside her sister staring at the man who stared back at them. The children had the same eyes like him although Obed looked more of him. Arya took a step towards him and said, "Pick me up." Andrew happily complied. "Wow look Obed we have the same eyes as him. You even look like him and he's the man in the photo. He is our father. I asked it, are you really a father? Obed questioned. But Andrew didn't know what to say. "Of course he is, dummy. Can't you see." Arya said, while still being carried by Andrew. The young boy lifted an eyebrow and asks, "If I am a dummy, then why do you ask me to help you with your homework?" "No, not academically, but physiologically dump." "I will tell mummy you are calling me dummy again." "Arya, who is it?..." "Her words got stuck seeing Andrew at the doorstep. "Mummy, daddy has come here." Arya smiled happily. "I have told you several time baby, it's not good to be so friendly with people especially with strangers." Stephanie said. "But mommy, he's not a stranger... he is our daddy." Stephenie sighed. "Okay you guys go inside and continue what you were doing? I will take it from here." Stephanie said but Arya was adamate to let go of the man. "Yes, I want to speak to mummy alone." Andrew said and put the little girl down. "Bye daddy." Arya bidded and walk away dragging Obed with her. "Leave my shirt." Obed grumbled.
When the kids were out of sight, Andrew was about to walk into the appartment when Stephanie said, "Don't come in, you are not allowed to come in Mr Gray. I have already told you the only reason why we are going to be in the same building is business." "Are you being serious right now? You hid my children for me and now that I've come to know of it , the only thing you can tell me is to leave?" Andrew said offended by what Stephanie said. Stephanie chuckled amused by his words. "Your kids, what makes them your kids? Where have you been all this years?" At the question, her eyes were filled with tears, threatening to fall. Andrew felt guilty seeing that. It was all his fault. She must have been through a lot keeping things to herself and asking all happy on the outside while hurting so much on the inside. He didn't say a word, he just stood at the doorstep. Stephanie took a deep breaths and blinked several times to stop herself from crying. "Let's meet up some other time. I don't want the children to hear this." "O...ok... bye." Andrew agreed and turned to leave when Stephanie said, "You can say bye bye to them." "Thanks." Andrew didn't refuse and walked in. "Obed, Arya."
When the kids came Andrew, a suspected bid goodbye to them. "Daddy please have dinner with us. I wish i could princess but i can't. I promise to have dinner with you the next time i came here okay?" "Okay daddy." The little girl said sadly.
3 days later, Stephanie met with Andrew at a five star hotel. They sat inside a VIP room to have their conversation. "Ermm...do you want anything?" Andrew asked breaking the silence." "No, I am fine." Stephanie answered. "I...ermm lily..." "Stephanie. My name is Stephanie. We are not loves anymore for you to call me that." Andrew's struggling words were interrupted with what Stephanie said. "I'm sorry... That's all I want to say. I know it's my fault." "There's no need. It is not useful. What is important is the children. I don't want them to think that I am driving them away from their father." Andrew was not so much please. "Lily... I am grateful to that but it's not only the kids that I want. I also want you. I have been looking for you all these years. Please, I don't want to live without you. Please give me another chance to makeup for all the time we've lost, a chance to fix my mistake and a chance to make us happy as before." Andrew stretched his hand to take Stephanie's hand in his but the woman pulled away. "I'm sorry, but you can only be the father of my children and nothing more." Andrew stood up and walk closer to the woman, but Stephanie stood up and took a few steps back. Andrew continue to take steps forward. The process continued until Stephanie's back hit the wall. "Mr. Grey." She complained but Andrew didn't response? "Please don't come any closer." "Stephanie said but the words only fell into deaf ears. Andrew placed one hand onto the wall and the other hand around her neck. He started to draw in closer to her. "Please Andy." "Stephanie heart was beating so fast in her chest. Hearing her call him by Andy, he stopped and pulled away. Stephanie sghed in relief but it was cut short but Andrew's next words. "I won't lose you, Lily. I won't let you go anywhere and neither am I going anywhere without you." After saying that, he walked out of the room.
How could the table turn like this? She was supposed to be the one to walk out on him not the other way around. This was insane but either way that wasn't what she was thinking about. She was thinking about what Andrew said. Ever since she knew Andrew, he hasn't been this intense before. Was he going to force her? What if he takes the children away from her if she refuses. Stephanie knew he could do that. "No, no..." She shook her head repeatedly. She wasn't going to get scared like the time she got pregnant and had no one by her side.She wasn't going to let Andrew take away her children. He wasn't even to console her when she was giving birth. His penny was not in their clothing, food and shelter, but here he was wanting to take them away from her and force her too.
Few days later, Stephanie went to pick the twins from where Edna stay (the Cruz mansion). When the maid opened the door for her, she walked into the room only to find Michael sitting on the couch with some files and a laptop which on his lap. "Hey Mich." "Hey Steph." Michael responded. "How are you Aphrodite?" Stephanie giggled before saying, "You are not planning to stop calling me after that, are you?" She asked. "You are the personification of beauty. Stephanie shook her head while smiling. "Anyways I came for the twins. "Of course." Mitch placed the laptop on the couch and walk upstairs with Stephanie following from behind. The twins were sleeping soundly with Edna. While Mich carried Obed, Stephanie also carried Arya. Michael took Obed to his car and was about to place the boy in after opening the door when m Stephanie said, "Mich it is too late?" You don't have to drive us." "Yeah, it is late that is why I can't entrust you to just anyone. Come on get in. Michael Obed on the backseats. Arya was also laid back. Stephanie sat on the passenger seat as Michael drove the car to their apartment. When they go to the apartments, they carried the kids back to their room and Stephanie escorted Michael back to his car. "Hey, are you free this weekend?" Michael asked. "If Phubert doesn't assign me to any work, then I'm free. Why do you ask?" Stephanie probed. "I wanted to take you out for lunch." Michael revealed. "Okay, why not. let's see if I will be free." "Thanks Steph... good night." Michael bidded good bye and gave Stephanie a quick kiss on her forehead before entering the driver's seat and drive off.
Unbeknownst to them, Andrew's car was stationed not far from where Stephanie stood. Inside was Andrew and his assistant. While his assistant was at the driver's seat, Andrew was seat at the back seat. "Who is he?" Andrew asked his assistant. Miss Lionel is a friend of his younger sister , so they became friends along the line." His assistant explained. "Proceed with the contract. I wantit in three days." Andrew instructed. "Ok sir." His assistant obeyed.
One day at work, Stephanie was sitting in her office chair leaning on the back rest and her head on the head rest. "Ahhh..." She groaned out of tiredness. She has been reviewing some files and signing them since morning. She closed her eyes to have a little bit of rest but someone knocked on the door. She opened her eyes and sat upright before asking the person to come in. It was Phubert's assistant. She held in her hands, a file. "Hey Bridget." Stephanie greeted. "Good afternoon Miss Stephanie, please Mr Phubert wants you to sign this." Bridget said handing Stephanie the file. She groaned, 'Another file signing and reading again.' "Ok." Since she was too tired and the file was coming from Phubert, she assumed the man had already read through so she took the pen and signed it.
