He just sat with his face burried in his palms thinking about how his life turned abruptly. "Hello." Eric didn't know the call was refered to him so he didn't even flinch. It was when someone tapped on his shoulder that he rised his head. "Hey." "Hey." Eric took a deep breath before responding. "It's really you. I thought I was mistaking. Here... you need it." Jackie said handing Eric a bottle of water. "Thanks" Eric said. He knew Jackie from Stephanie's birthday. Stephanie had introduced her as a friend. Thinking about Stephanie made him remember Andrew. He has been overwhelmed with everything that was going on that he forgot Andy. He took out his phone to call Andrew but to his dismay, his phone was dead. "Here you can use mine." Jackie offered. He was taken aback a little. They only knew eachother from one night so why was she doing him good as if they have known eachother for long time. Besides they barely even talked to eachother at the birthday. "It's okay. I'll just use the..." "Come on take it." Jackie interrupted, handing him her phone forcefully. Eric looked at Jackie and her phone for awhile before nodding his head.
When Eric turned the phone on and saw that there was a screen lock. "Password?" Eric asked. "Mi amore. No space". Eric stopped in his track for a moment before nodding again.
With just a few rings Andrew answer. He knew Andrew knew it was him using another number that was why the man answered the phone so quickly. "Hey bro." Eric greeted. "Eric where have you been? You haven't come to work for two days and I can't even reach you. Do you know how worried I am? Andrew questioned. "I am in the hospital". Eric revealed. "What are you doing in the hospital? Did Bob show up and hurt you?" Andrew asked remembering Eric informing him that he was going to the Dabson mansion to find out if there was any info about Bob. "No. I'm okay". He could hear Andrew sigh in relief on the other end. That was it. The love and care Andrew had showed him doesn't even make him yarn for his family's warmth and affection. "Thanks for caring for me bro. It's Sarah. Bob had shot her when I got there. I can't tell you everything on phone. Infact there is something crucial I need to tell you... but all I want you to know is that I am in the hospital and I am fine." Eric said. "Hmm... Okay."
After the call Eric gave Jackie's phone back to her and thanked her. "It's okay hon. You look like a mess. Why don't you go home and freshen up. I will take cover for you." Jackie cooed. This time Eric was really taken by surprise. He gave her a confused gaze. "What?! You can just tell me you don't want my offer. I hate it when people look at me like I am an alien." Jackie lamented. Eric knitted an eyebrow at her. He was surprised at how they barely knew eachother yet she wanted to help him so much but now he couldn't believe the woman who was caring and kind-hearted would shout at him like that. "It's okay. I will leave when she is awake and fine." Eric said. "Do you even hear yourself. When she is awake that she will want somebody her side, that is when you are going to leave her alone?" She cooed. Eric felt like he was been scolded. "Look Sarah will not run when you leave cause she is unconscious and when she wakes up and you are not here, I will stay by her side. Don't worry about me leaving when you are gone cause my mom is under surgery and it will take a while for them to finish." Eric fell speechless at her words. Her mother was under surgery and she was acting like this. This girl was really something. He wasn't suppose to trust her but he still did. He nodded 'okay' at her, stood up and left.
When Andrew finish the call with Eric, he immediately got a call from his father. "Hello dad." Andrew said rather lazily. "You should show some respect. I heard that for months you haven't step foot in Ecil. Son I know you have your own company and corporation but you can't just ignore the company. It was the reason why you went to Country V in the first place." Andrew's father, Mr Gray cooed. "Dad, didn't the one who gossiped also told you that I am not in City J of Country V but I am in City I." Andrew said. "And what are you doing there? Have buy a company there?" Mr Gray asked. "Yes and I am working on it." Andrew said truthfully. "Hmm... okay, your mother wants to come there and spend some days. She said she misses you. I don't know when exactly she will come so embrace yourself. You know your mother." "Hmm okay bye"
It was supper and Edna was having supper with Fulbeth when she suddenly announced, "I will go home this weekend. If you have any plans. You have been doing well lately so it won't be too much of a delimma if I leave. You can even decide to go to your family's house. Stephanie said she'll come there so it won't be a good idea for you to go to her apartment." "If Steph is going then I can too right?" Phubert asked. Edna didn't think he will suggest that. "No... you can come along if you want." Edna cooed. "Okay that is good then." "But Phubert don't you think it's been so long since you visited your family. You don't need to come with me." "Are you trying to make me change my mind?" Phubert looked at her exasperatingly "What? No. I... I was just being thoughtful." "Hmm... If you say say so."
Actually she wanted to distantce herself. Not that she was tired of him but she want to think things through.
All these years she has loved Phubert but he never reciprocate her feelings. Eventhough she still loves him but she has atleast accepted that Phubert will never love her the same way. But now look, now that she was trying to move on, he was trying to be wherever she was and the was and that was ridiculous. She want to have some space. She couldn't just start a relationship witha man who rejected her over and over years ago but now he was acting all...all...gosh... she didn't even know how to call.
The next day at closing, Andrew was the one who picked the kids from school but on the way home, he recieved a call from his assistant that there was an emergency in the office so he had to drive to Aster Company with the kids. "Daddy your work place is very huge." Arya comment. Everyone stared at the two kids in awe. They didn't even know their boss had a girlfriend but now it looks like he was already married... with two beautiful pumpkins. They were so cute! Eventhough it was the boy who looked mostly like his father but the girl took some attributes of her father too. Her blue eyes, pointed nose and her lips though it wasn't thin as her father's but her round lips reddish-pink as her father. They never thought their boss was a person of secret but as it turns out he was a very mysterious person.
"Boss, Mr... Oh my god." Assistant halted when his eyes landed on the kids. Arya blinked cutely at the man who stared at her and her brother. "Wow..." His assistant said with bewilderment. "Hey Janusz... will you focus?!" Andrew called. "Oh... yh ... yes... please it's Mr. Brooks. He said something has come up and he will be leaving the country tomorrow. He said he doesn't know when he will come back so he wants us to do a confrence call so that we can do the presentation." Janusz resaid what Mr. Brooks said. Mr. Brooks was a very powerful man in the country. Since he has called personally to give such information, it meant he was really interested in Anstar. It wasn't too surprising though. Anstar was a newcomer but it has been able to rise to the top five companies in the city. His other two companies has successfully made it to the top ten in the county and one was part of the five tops of the country. He had four companies in all and he plan to establish branches after Anstar.
"Have you prepared everything?" Andrew asked. "Yes boss." His assistant replied. "Okay. Tell Shelly to take the kids to my office." Andrew instructed. He knelt before Arya and Obed. "Guys I will be attending a meeting so you are going to wait in my office. Be good kids, don't pick on each other back and asked the woman who is going look after you if you want anything hmm..." "Okay daddy." Obed responded to father but Arya had a cute frown on her face.
