Prologue: The Day the Music Died

The universe was born in a song of four voices, but it was silenced by a single touch.

They were a family of six once. The Primordial Father and the Mother of Stars sat at the center of the beginning, watching their sons play among the newly formed galaxies. Atli, QJ, and Lash were the pillars—strong, bright, and lucky.

And then there was Kyoku.

He was the "Heart." He was the one who laughed the loudest. But he was also the one who felt the most. When Kyoku was sad, the stars dimmed. When Kyoku was angry, the vacuum of space grew cold. His power didn't have a shape like lightning or suns; it was the Absolute Null—the cosmic eraser.

The Hug of Ash

It happened on the Eve of the First Era.

Kyoku had been having nightmares. The "Null" inside him was vibrating, a dark hunger that he couldn't explain. He woke up screaming, his small body wreathed in a terrifying, flickering violet flame.

"Mother! Father!" he cried out, his voice cracking with a child's terror.

The parents rushed into his chamber. They didn't hesitate. They didn't see a monster; they saw their youngest son in pain.

"We're here, Kyoku," the Mother whispered, her arms open wide. "It's okay. Just let us hold you."

"I can't stop it!" Kyoku wailed, his eyes wide and glowing with a light that ate the air around him. "It hurts! Help me!"

The Father reached out, his massive, star-forged hand moving to steady the boy. The Mother stepped in to embrace him. They were the strongest beings in existence—gods who had birthed the laws of physics. They thought they could handle anything.

The moment their skin touched the violet aura, the world went silent.

There was no explosion. There was no scream.

The Mother's warmth... vanished. The Father's strength... deleted.

In the blink of an eye, the two beings who had created the brothers were simply erased. They didn't die; they ceased to have ever been. Their essences were consumed by the Void that lived inside their own son.

The Silence of the Three

Atli, QJ, and Lash burst into the room seconds later, their weapons drawn, ready to defend their family from an intruder.

But there was no intruder.

There was only a seven-year-old boy sitting in the center of an empty, gray room. The bed was gone. The floor was gone. The parents were gone. Kyoku sat in the middle of a perfect circle of nothingness, his hands trembling, his face stained with tears.

"Where are they?" Atli whispered, his thunder-voice shaking for the first time. "Kyoku... where is Father?"

Kyoku looked up, his violet eyes hollow. "I... I just wanted a hug. They touched me and... they went away."

Lash looked at the golden threads of fate in the room. They were severed. Not just broken, but gone. The luck of the family had been deleted. QJ's light couldn't even penetrate the shadow surrounding the boy.

In that moment, the brotherhood broke.

They didn't see their little brother anymore. They saw the end of all things. They saw the thing that took their mother's smile and their father's guidance.

The love was replaced by a cold, suffocating fear.

The Path to Chapter One

"We have to," Atli had whispered that night, standing in the shadows with QJ and Lash. "He doesn't have a soul anymore. He has a Void. If he stays, we are next. The world is next."

"He's our brother," Lash argued, though his hands were shaking as he gripped his golden coins. "He's just a child."

"He's a child who killed God," QJ hissed.

And so, the plan was made. Not out of malice, but out of a desperate, grieving terror. They led him to the Abyssal Void under the guise of a "healing ritual." They told him it would help him control his power.

They lied.

And as the heavy stone door of the Void slammed shut—the moment Chapter 1 begins—Kyoku finally realized the truth. He hadn't just lost his parents. He had lost his brothers, too.
