Chapter 578 - 577

Jason and Bob found their escape surprisingly easy; they used the dim light to cast a Disillusionment Charm on themselves, then softened the bars with Transfiguration during the brief chaos in the cells, easily walking out of their prison. At the same time, because the Silver Spears were busy putting out fires and suppressing the wizards' riot, they smoothly made their way to the fireplace, perhaps due to the ease of it all, making the two feel as if they were dreaming for a moment.

But they had no time for sentimentality; as soon as they approached the fireplace, Jason and Bob scrambled to grab Floo powder and plunged into the hearth.

"Ministry of Magic!"

Jason felt every muscle and cell in his body trembling at that moment; to ensure he could accurately shout his destination, he even bit his tongue hard. As the destination was shouted, he and Bob were successively enveloped by emerald-green flames, instantly disappearing from the terrifying prison, and even then, the Silver Spears guards seemed to not notice the movement nearby.

On the other side, Jimmy had been keeping an eye on the commotion in the corner; when he saw the fireplace activated by the two, he even let out a desperate shout, trying to attract the Silver Spears' attention to buy Jason and Bob time.

Meanwhile, Moody, who was not far off, had been watching everything unfold before him, shaking his head with amusement; these guys were truly putting on a show, and if he hadn't known their plan beforehand, he might have actually been fooled by them. Then Moody glanced thoughtfully in the direction of the fireplace, wondering how Andre's preparations were coming along; as the main character of this grand play, he better not mess up midway.

At this moment, Jason and Bob had already been transported to the German Ministry of Magic's lobby, where they stumbled and crawled out of the fireplace, then uncontrollably began to cough violently. Due to their long-term confinement in the enclosed space of the prison, they had grown accustomed to the murky, sour smell there, and suddenly breathing fresh air felt somewhat disorienting. And just as they were gasping for breath on the ground, feeling as if a lifetime had passed, they suddenly heard footsteps approaching.

Someone was coming closer!

The long-term high-pressure life had made Jason and Bob extremely sensitive; upon hearing the sound, they immediately looked nervously toward the source, only to find that it was two Aurors, seemingly on duty, walking toward them.

"Who are you? Don't you know it's late at night? Why are you trespassing in the Ministry of Magic at this hour?" The two Aurors approached and found two dirty, bearded figures emitting a foul odor sprawled on the ground; they immediately drew their wands nervously and pointed them at the figures, demanding in a sharp tone.

"No! Don't hurt us, we're not bad people! We're here for help!" Jason immediately raised his hands above his head upon seeing the Aurors' stance; he didn't want to be treated as a criminal by Aurors right after escaping.

"Help?" The two Aurors exchanged strange glances upon hearing this. "Hands on your head, first stand up from the ground."

Once Jason and the other complied, the Aurors, under the dim light of the hall, finally got a clear look at their appearance, and after confirming they had no wands on them, they relaxed and slowly began to question them, "Who exactly are you? Why do you both look like Muggle vagrants? You said earlier you were here for help, is someone harming you?"

"Yes, Mr. Aurors, we were kidnapped and imprisoned by villains, and today we finally managed to escape by chance. As soon as we got free, we came to the Ministry of Magic for help." Jason was very emotional at this point, and as he spoke, he couldn't help but choke up, even shedding tears, mainly because the pressure they had endured before was too great, and suddenly relaxing made it hard to control himself.

"Don't panic, take your time and tell us, who kidnapped you, and do you have any other companions?" The Auror, seeing their pitiful appearance, gently comforted them.

"Yes! We have other companions, and the ones who kidnapped us are... are Silver..." Jason was about to reveal that they had been imprisoned by the Silver Spears when Bob suddenly grabbed his shoulder, stopping him from continuing.

Jason looked at him, somewhat puzzled, but saw Bob looking at him with a serious expression. It was then that Jason suddenly realized he couldn't directly mention the Silver Spears. They had learned in prison that the Silver Spears might have some inexplicable connection with certain individuals in the German Ministry of Magic. Although the two wizards in front of them were Aurors, they couldn't guarantee that they weren't part of the same group, or that these two Aurors, fearing trouble, wouldn't report to those colluding with the club. Wouldn't that be jumping out of the frying pan into the fire?

Realizing this, Jason hesitated for two seconds, then spoke again, "Regarding our situation, we must speak directly with Director Andre. Could you please take us to see him?"

"You want to see Director Andre?" One Auror looked at Jason with surprise upon hearing this. "Director Andre is not someone just anyone can see. Since you're here for help, you'll have to let us understand the whole story before we consider reporting to the Director, won't you?"

"No, we must speak to the Director in person. The things we've encountered are almost unbelievable; if we tell you, you definitely won't believe us. Please, no, I beg you two!" Jason's emotions suddenly became agitated as he said this, even crying out and about to kneel. He knew that Jimmy was still covering for them to get them out; if they delayed any longer, the consequences could truly be unimaginable.

Seeing Jason speak so emotionally, one Auror tentatively glanced at his companion; the other Auror nodded silently. His meaning was simple: that's enough, let's not overdo the act, lest these two get so agitated they faint, which would be troublesome.

"All right..." The questioning Auror replied with a smile, "You're lucky today; Director Andre hasn't left the Ministry of Magic yet as he needs to discuss official business with several prominent wizarding world figures. I'll go and ask Director Andre for his permission; you two follow along."

"Good! Good! Thank you both, you are both kind people!" Jason was naturally very grateful upon hearing this and quickly followed them.

When they arrived outside the Department of Magical Law Enforcement Director's office, the Auror instructed the two to wait outside the door, then he entered the office. Although Bob and Jason were anxious at this moment, they knew they were asking for a favor and could only suppress their emotions and wait quietly.
