Chapter 20 - Chapter 20

Rage.

It was something that every god or goddess had felt at some point in their life. For some of them, it is a constant companion.

However, there was one god that had never shown that side of himself. At least, not fully.

That is why, all of the Greek world trembled as an inhuman roar resounded across the skies, making even Selene and her fellow gods and goddesses of the moon from beyond the realms, whom she could not feel or touch, but could sense thanks to her shared domain, tremble as she held tightly onto the reins of her chariot. Terror coursing through her very being as she beheld the scene beneath her.

For the glowing yellow eyes of the colossal creature below her held no mercy, no familiar light of mirth and compassion, no friendly expression to find at all.

All she saw was endless, unfathomable Rage.

His divine form that once charmed many an Oceanid, Goddess, and Titaness, now a hulking mass of muscle and emerald fur.

His eyes that once shone with compassion, now dominated by absolute madness.

His aura that once radiated compassion and peace, now nothing more than an extension of his most powerful domain, Destruction.

It was not just Selene who was too afraid to even approach the normally very friendly god.

The various spirits of the trees, mountains, waters, and every other form, huddled together in pure terror, trying to avoid the gaze of the very being that they would normally be trying to swarm every moment of their life.

On the other side of the planet, Helios and his fellow gods of the sun were not faring any better, as they felt the aftershocks of the sheer power reverberating across the world, even beyond the unfathomable primordial flux that separated the Greek realms from the other realms of the planet.

As for the god and goddess responsible for the entire debacle in the first place? They were huddled together in pure terror deep in their chambers atop Olympus, watching helplessly as their brother's untamable wrath, for the first time in all their existence, turned on them.

Thankfully for them, Brolios Asterion was currently too lazy to deal with them, for he had a different target altogether.

Of course, that did not mean they would go unscathed once all of this is done. Especially the foolish king of the sky, who is unaware that a truly tragic fate awaits him.

Artemis, the newborn goddess, watched with awe and fear as her uncle unleashed his full wrath upon the creature that her younger brother, Apollo, had just slain, but was once again revived somehow.

The mighty Python. The land dragon spawned by Gaia when Zeus ended the reign of the foolish Silver Race.

A being so colossal that it could devour even a god or titan in a single moment, even if said divine being were in their true form. Such was its power.

It is the reason why it took Apollo so many arrows to even bring it down for a few moments.

However, unfortunately for this mighty being that would one day become legend, it had chosen the wrong master to serve and run headfirst into the one being it should never have provoked.

Brolios, in his Oozaru form, a form that he had never used in this life until now, roared in pure rage and opened his maw wide, gathering his Ki for an attack.

An attack that filled the mighty immortal beast with abject terror before it was even done charging.

The mighty earth dragon that neither feared a god nor a titan or primordial, for the first time in its months-long relentless pursuit of Leto the titaness, the mother of Artemis and Apollo, retreated.

Its colossal body turned tail and started slithering away, hoping to escape into the embrace of its mother to escape the God of Destruction's wrath.

However, Brolios would not allow it.

His arm easily caught the snake, like how a child would grab an earthworm, and brought it straight to his maw, which was already done charging.

And then, he let loose his Ki blast.

At once, silence consumed the world as the blast laced with the very concept of Destruction, and Hakai tore through the Python's very concept, eradicating it from all of existence.

Only when there was literally nothing left of the beast did the god stop his attack, revealing a jagged scar across the landscape and the parted clouds of the night sky that came into existence from his attack.

The newborn twins watched with bated breath as the colossal form of their uncle started to shrink and twist.

His fur receded, showing his muscular frame beneath. His glowing yellow eyes slowly turning inky black.

His famed Armor of Destruction readjusted itself to suit his body, just like it did when he first transformed.

What was once the monstrous Oozaru, the legacy of a race of warriors with evil inherited in their blood, something that neither the twin nor even Mother Rhea knew about, was now the famed God of Destruction, Nature, and the Lost.

Leto, the mother of the twins, stepped forward and spoke while bowing to the Olympian.

"Lord Brolios-"

"Silence."

That word spoken through gritted teeth sent chills down the Titanesses' backs while the twins took on a cautious stance in response.

Brolios did not even register the youngling's actions and continued staring at the Titaness. The mirth and compassion he was known for missing from his cold gaze.

"I warned you, Leto. Back then, during that last banquet with Prometheus, I warned you of what would happen should you overstep your bounds."

"I warned you of the consequences should you violate my sister's domain and dare to continue your fling with that idiotic brother of mine even after his marriage to Hera."

"I warned you of what you would suffer under the jealous nature of my sister if you chose to betray her trust, and mine."

With each word, Brolios's eyes once again flashed sinister yellow, forcing Leto to stumble back a little in fear, and to a lesser extent, guilt.

"Truth be told, I should have left you to your fate. For you deserve everything that happened to you until now."

"Your love for my brother is a known factor. Yet, you should have let go of that feeling after he married Hera. You should have buried the past and moved on."

"If you wished for companionship so much, there are so many candidates out there, both gods and titans, whom you could have chosen as your mate."

"Yet, you did none of that. You willfully violated the sanctity of my sister's marriage. You, and Zeus both."

"You went behind her back and had an affair with that idiot who can't keep it in his Chiton. You seduced him, knowing fully what you were doing. And don't bother denying it, I have already heard everything from the Neriads that you keep as your handmaidens."

"You betrayed the trust that Hera, Hestia, Demeter, and I placed in you when we allowed you to come and go as you pleased on Olympus. A show of trust that very few beings in existence have."

Then, the yellow bled out of his eyes, replaced by a look of pure disappointment that left Leto breathless.

"The only reason I intervened today is that, unlike you, my niece and nephew are blameless. They never asked to be born from an affair, and they never asked to be blamed for the actions of their foolish parents."

Brolios took a deep breath and spoke words that would damn Leto and riddle her heart with guilt and loss for all of eternity.

"From this day forth, I, Brolios, the God of Destruction, Nature, and the Lost, declare. The Grove of Dodona is forever closed to you and my brother, Zeus. The fields of my sanctuary forever barred for you two."

"My domain shall never hear the cries of your lost."

"You, Leto, shall never set foot on Olympus for your treachery from this day forth. As for Zeus, his punishment will be decided by my mother and I later on."

Then, his gaze softened when he beheld the apprehensive look on his newborn niece and nephew.

"I will not stop you from meeting your children, Leto, nor will I blame them for what you did. However, never even dream of ever calling me your friend ever again."

With his piece said, Brolios disappeared in a shimmer of Godly Ki, leaving behind a distraught Leto who fell to her knees and her children, who were still trying to wrap their heads around what had just happened in the past few hours.

As for Zeus and Hera? They faced a fate far worse than death. Especially Zeus, whose punishment would become a legend in and of itself in the realms of Olympus.
