"Viper, can you turn it up to 30x gravity?"
Nico didn't stop moving as he said it.
His steps were heavy under 10x, but controlled now. Each movement was sharper, tighter, no wasted motion.
Rex looked over.
"…You serious?"
Viper glanced up from his device.
"…You just got used to ten."
Nico exhaled.
"Yeah."
A short pause.
"Turn it up."
Viper watched him for a second.
Then nodded.
"…Alright."
He tapped the screen.
"Thirty times."
WHOOOM.
The chamber slammed down.
Hard.
Rex's legs buckled instantly.
"Okay, yeah this is..."
He dropped to one knee, catching himself with a hand on the ground.
"…heavy."
Behind him
Chica hit the floor.
Flat.
No control.
No adjustment.
Just straight down.
"…tch "
She tried to push herself up.
Her arms shook violently.
Didn't move.
Even lifting her head looked difficult.
"…what… the hell…"
Viper glanced at her, then back to the readings.
"…Expected."
Nico stayed standing.
Barely.
His shoulders dropped under the pressure, but his feet didn't move.
"…Good."
He took a step forward.
Slow.
Deliberate.
Each movement dragged, like his body weighed ten times more than it should.
Rex forced himself up slightly.
Still crouched.
Still struggling.
"…This is insane…"
Nico moved again.
Step.
Then another.
His breathing got heavier.
His muscles strained.
But he didn't stop.
"…Don't stand still," Viper said.
Nico clenched his fists.

A flicker.
Light green.
Gone instantly.
Nico's eyes sharpened.
"…Right."
Even here
It reacted.
He forced another step forward.
"…Again."
The pressure didn't ease.
Chica stayed on the ground.
Rex struggled to stay upright.
And Nico
Kept moving anyway.
