The estate doctor was still packing his bag when Nico spoke.
"Get him mobile," Nico said, looking at Dario on the medical room table. "We're moving him."
The doctor looked up. "But Don, he still needs at least another hour before…"
Nico repeated his instruction: "Mobile. I don't need him healed, just mobile."
Dario's head lifted from the pillow. His left eye was swollen nearly shut and his breathing came in shallow, uneven pulls. "Moving me where?" His voice cracked on the last word. "Where are you taking me?"
Nico didn't answer. He looked at Luca, who nodded once and stepped into the corridor.
Mara stood against the wall and watched two of Nico's men lift her uncle off the table.
Dario made a sound that was something between a protest and a whimper, and then went quiet when he looked at Nico's face and apparently decided that making noise was not going to help him.
