Nico's terrifying snarl broke the silence: "Get the fvck away from her."
The man jerked his head up at the sound of Nico's voice, his eyes widening in shock. He scrambled backward, his hand dropping toward his hip, but he was far too slow.
Nico crossed the room in two massive strides. He didn't shoot him. A bullet was entirely too fast and too kind.
Nico grabbed the man by the throat of his shirt, hauled him off his feet, and threw a hard, bare-knuckle punch straight into the centre of the man's face.
The crunch of breaking bone echoed through the small room as the man's jaw shattered. He hit the floor hard, spitting blood and teeth onto the cheap carpet.
Luca and the other men poured into the room a second later.
"Pin him to the chair," Nico snarled, not taking his eyes off the bleeding man on the floor.
Two of Nico's men dragged the groaning man up and slammed him into the desk chair.
