Itama started a solemn, secret project. For every Senju who died that he could safely reach, he used **Copy**. Not for tactical gain, but for preservation. He stored their faces, their voices, their skills, their memories of family. He created a living memorial within his mind. He did the same for honorable enemy shinobi he found, Uchiha and others alike. His library became a tomb for the Warring States era, a record of the countless lives consumed by the conflict.
He would sometimes, in absolute privacy, summon a copy of a fallen shinobi who had spoken of wanting to see the ocean, and have the copy look out over a vast lake. He would let them have that moment of peace before dismissing them. It was his penance and his promise.
