The commander was clad in ornate armor, holding a flaming longsword, towering over them.
"Welcome to the Arena, pitiful humans," it thundered.
"Today, you have one chance to survive."
"Ten of you will fight each other. The last one standing may go attend to your Human prince."
"How merciful, isn't it?"
The stands erupted with deafening cheers from the magical beasts.
"Kill! Kill! Kill!"
Meanwhile, in Daniel's view, every player in spectator mode exploded in shock.
"Holy shit! Free-for-all?!?"
"What kind of twisted rule is this?!"
"What about Faustus?"
"He's strong, but he has no equipment!"
"It's over, nine-star maps aren't for humans…"
Just then, another group of Magical Beast Guards pushed a small cart into the arena.
The cart was stacked with equipment, neatly arranged for all ten players.
Commander Kales waved its hand.
"Return their gear. Make it a fair fight."
"Now it's fun!"
