Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Add Points! Two Years Later, Renly Is Born

"Why did I get 3 points this time?"

Galladon studied the panel thoughtfully.

Yesterday, killing the bald rapist had granted him 2 Judgment Points.

Today, killing the abusive stepmother granted 3.

Conclusion:

There is a cooldown — only one valid judgment per day.

The number of points depends on the weight of the sinner's crimes.

Satisfied with his deduction, Galladon decided to spend the points while his father watched.

Judgment Points: 3

First, he added one point to Swordsmanship (3%).

It became:

Swordsmanship: 4%

A cool sensation flowed through his mind.

Techniques Ser Goodwin had taught him suddenly made deeper sense. Subtle principles he previously half-understood now felt clear. Even his wrist felt warmer and more flexible.

"1 point equals 1% skill proficiency…" he thought.

He did not spend the remaining two on swordsmanship. Skills could be trained naturally.

Attributes and bloodlines were more valuable.

Awakening the Targaryen Bloodline

Galladon focused on:

Duskstar Bloodline (3%)

Targaryen Bloodline (0%)

Storm King Bloodline (1%)

Without hesitation, he added one point to Targaryen Bloodline.

0% → 1%

Instantly—

Heat exploded through his body.

His skin flushed red.

Flames seemed to flicker in his blue eyes.

For a brief moment, he saw a vision—raging fire, enormous dragons soaring through the sky.

He staggered and stabbed the Just Maid into the stone floor to steady himself.

"Galladon!"

Selwyn rushed forward, alarmed. His son's skin burned hot to the touch.

Then the heat subsided.

"I'm fine, Father."

Galladon nodded.

Selwyn understood immediately.

It worked.

The sword's judgment truly strengthened him.

Selwyn's heart pounded with excitement.

House Tarth might truly rise again.

One prisoner remained—the old veteran fisherman.

Selwyn spoke solemnly.

"You heard what you should not have heard."

Without hesitation, Selwyn stepped forward and drove his sword into the man's back, killing him instantly.

Galladon understood.

Secrecy mattered more than mercy.

They left the dungeon.

Back in his room, Galladon opened the panel:

Swordsmanship: 4%

Targaryen Bloodline: 1%

Judgment Points: 1

He spent the final point on Agility.

Agility: 4.01 → 4.02

Heat flowed briefly through his limbs. His movements felt slightly lighter, smoother, faster.

The improvement was subtle—but real.

He gazed out at the stars.

How much development would be required before dragons recognized him?

Before he gained true fire immunity?

There was time.

The Red Comet had not yet appeared.

For now, steady growth was enough.

Daily Judgments Continue

The following day, they tested again.

First prisoner: a poacher.

No points.

Galladon realized that some crimes—though punishable by law—were not considered true sins by the system.

Second prisoner: a man guilty of incest and abuse.

Judgment Points: +1

Minor sin, minor reward.

Selwyn now understood fully:

One valid judgment per day.

Greater evil yields greater strength.

It fit the nature of a holy sword.

Two Years Later

Life settled into rhythm.

Morning studies with Maester Amor.

Afternoon training with Ser Goodwin.

Evening judgments when available.

Galladon's growth accelerated steadily.

Two years passed in the blink of an eye.

On a bright day at Sapphire Harbor, Lord Selwyn stood with Galladon and Brienne at the docks.

A ship bearing the falcon of House Arryn approached.

A noble guest was aboard.

Robert Baratheon.

He was returning from the Eyrie to Storm's End.

The reason?

Lord Steffon Baratheon had fathered another son.

His name:

Renly Baratheon.

The tides of history were beginning to shift.

And Galladon was ready.
