Before leaving for Baschurten, I'd requested personnel support from the Crown Prince, and apparently he'd sent troops right away. Most were levy soldiers from Rosenheim, but since the purpose was guarding rather than combat, I was very grateful.
Ted and Oscar were overseeing them personally, so they weren't here at the moment.
August was currently receiving a progress report from Viktor and Fiel.
"So, any problems?"
"Ugh, don't get me started. Those noble prisoners keep throwing fits, demanding private cells!"
The captured nobles had apparently been hounding Hans, the most easygoing of my men, to give them individual rooms. The Feuzen jail wasn't some Breisburg duchy prison. There was no way we could provide such comfortable accommodations.
"Put up with the crappy conditions for now. Once we collect the ransoms, I'll give the guards a big bonus."
"Ooh, that should be enough to keep the men motivated!"
