So Gaia handed over the scratch paper.
Mihono Bourbon glanced at the contents, then looked at Gaia—who seemed to be waiting eagerly for an answer. Her gaze bounced back and forth between Gaia and the paper.

The instructor stood a bit farther off so he could observe Gaia's running form.

"Gaia—if your jacket will affect your running, take it off," he reminded her.
Gaia simply nodded slightly.
Then she settled into a starting stance.
