Before Matteo could process another word, Adrian spun around, his eyes filled with tears and anger. He grabbed his clothes in a panic, trying to get dressed as fast as he could.
The moment Matteo realized Adrian was about to run out, he rushed after him, ignoring the sharp pain shooting through his shoulder. He caught Adrian by the wrists, holding him gently in place.
"Babe, please calm down first," Matteo pleaded, trying to stop him. "Will you just stay and talk to me? I don't think he meant for it to happen… it was a mistake."
Adrian turned to him, disbelief written all over his face.
"A mistake?" he repeated, his voice shaking. "Hurting you like this was a mistake?"
His eyes dropped to the bandaged arm. "Look at your hand, Matteo. You're bleeding!"
