Adrian waved a dismissive hand without looking back. "Whatever."
Matteo chuckled softly beside him, glancing down at his fiancée. "You know Tony is just pulling your leg."
"I know," Adrian sighed, though his gaze drifted idly over toward Tony for a split second. "But honestly... have you ever really looked at him? Tony is actually pretty good-looking. Great face, solid muscles, and he doesn't even try that hard. He'd probably make a really good partner for whoever is lucky enough to date him."
Adrian said it offhand, completely without thinking, just making casual conversation.
Suddenly, Matteo stopped dead in his tracks. He turned sharply, planting himself right in front of Adrian with a look of theatrical shock. "Did you seriously just stand there and compliment another man right in front of your fiancé?"
Adrian blinked, caught off guard. "What? No—I'm only saying—It's just—"
