"Indeed. Photovoltaics, next-generation nuclear fission reactors... and if we succeed in developing nuclear fusion, it won't just advance Zenthia's technology. It will lead all of humanity into a new frontier."

Chloe Sinclair paused for a moment. "Of course the device needs to be modified, but we'll be doing it by upgrading the existing Mark Device."
Building a new nuclear fusion device from scratch wouldn't be an issue, but the cost is too high. The lab simply can't afford it right now.
However, modifying it would present even more challenges.
Sure enough, as soon as Chloe Sinclair finished speaking, many people voiced their opposition.
"Modify it? Do you have any idea how dangerous it is to modify a controllable nuclear fusion device? It's one thing if you get hurt, but what if the Mark Device is destroyed?!"
