Joseph Shaw knew the old man had a strange temper, so he didn't dare linger. He grabbed Nina Sinclair and made a quick escape.
Once they were out of the old residence, Nina Sinclair's expression was as black as thunder.
Thinking about the difference in how she and Chloe Sinclair were treated today, she couldn't help but demand, "Joseph Shaw, are you even a man? That old fart said all that crap about me, and you didn't say a single word to defend me!"
Joseph Shaw had lost face in front of his woman, so he wasn't in a good mood either.
Hearing her grating voice, he couldn't help but cut her off.
"What are you yelling about? If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have even been able to get in the door today!"
"And another thing, what makes you think you can compare yourself to Chloe Sinclair? She has family background, she has a career, and even her face is prettier than yours. You're a nobody!"
