"What do you mean?"
The moment he said that, several police officers in the office spoke up at once.
"What's that supposed to mean, 'you don't want to investigate thoroughly'? We came as soon as you reported it. You're saying we haven't been looking into it?"
Felix Preston stared at one officer's computer. "The computer isn't even on. What have you been investigating? You got back from reviewing the hospital's security footage and have just been sitting here, chatting and watching videos. So who, may I ask, is on the case? Is chatting on your phones and watching videos some kind of special investigation technique?"
"..."
The officer who had retorted was instantly speechless, and the others who were on their phones quietly put them away.
"Forget it. Don't say any more." Sonia Quincy sighed weakly, tugging at Felix Preston's arm.
Felix Preston's whole body was tense, trembling with anger.
