"Mr. Joyce, should we tell Mr. Lockwood about Lynn Preston coming to Apex Design?"
Liam Joyce had just stepped out of his office when his assistant approached to ask.
Liam Joyce turned at the question and glanced at Lynn Preston, who was busy at her computer. "No need," he replied coldly. "My collaboration with Mr. Lockwood is over. Her presence won't affect him in any way."
The assistant's brow furrowed, a worried look on his face. "But she's Felix Preston's sister. Keeping our enemy's sister around... I'm worried she might cause some trouble."
"Hmph." Liam Joyce scoffed, turning to leave the office space. "With the state the Preston family is in, what trouble could Lynn Preston possibly cause on her own? Let her stay. Her very presence is a symbol of Felix Preston's failure."
"Seeing her here puts me in a good mood."
