When Sonia Quincy heard it was Jasper Linden, a weight lifted from her chest. She let out a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "Come in."
Only then did Jasper Linden open the door and walk in, laden with bags of all sizes.
"Didn't you say Mr. Preston woke up? Why is he still like this?"
For the past two days, Jasper Linden had been dealing with the police. As soon as he heard from Sonia Quincy that Felix Preston had woken up, he rushed out to buy some things and came straight to the hospital, not even stopping for dinner.
Sonia Quincy rose from the sofa and stepped forward to help with the bags, but he immediately sidestepped her.
"No, no, you just stay seated. I can manage."
"Alright." Unable to help, Sonia Quincy could only stand aside to stay out of his way.
