"Wanwan..." Yan Lie called her name softly, his voice tinged with an aggrieved tone. His moist, amber eyes gazed at her, like those of a big, drenched cat.
Bai Wanwan's heart finally softened. With a light sigh, she said to Yin Ze, "It's still early. Why don't you come lie with me for a while too?"
Yan Lie's eyes lit up; he knew at once that Wanwan was helping him.
He immediately broke free from Yin Ze's grip, shot out of the room, and fled faster than a startled Rabbit Beast.
Yin Ze watched the figure vanish in a flash, a complex emotion flickering in his eyes.
'Only Yan Lie, spoiled by Wanwan, would dare to be so reckless.'
'If it had been him... would Wanwan have been so forgiving?'
Seeing Yin Ze still standing frozen in place, Bai Wanwan threw back the thin blanket. Her bare feet stepped onto the cool stone floor as she walked toward him, one step at a time.
