"You're in the right room." Alex clapped Lanuo on the back and gave him a push, introducing him to Gu Ning and Barto.
"This is Lanuo. He's the doctor I specially brought from Zone 5 to treat Ningning."
Hearing he was a doctor Alex had specially invited, Gu Ning managed a smile and greeted him politely. "Hello, Doctor Lanuo."
Lanuo's weary eyes instantly brightened. He raised a hand. "He-hello."
But when he heard her hoarse, grating voice, he snapped back to his senses and fumbled in his pocket for his glasses, hastily putting them on.
"The right room?" Lanuo stared at the little female before him for a moment, then sniffed the air around "her." He tilted his head and whispered to Alex, "You really got a Mimic Mixed Species to stick by your side? This one's a high-level one, too."
'Aside from its voice and scent, the disguise is nearly perfect. It almost fooled even me. No wonder Alex had to confirm with me over and over again.'
