Gu Ning: "...Oh." 'What a cold reply.'
But Little Fairy Bird was still eating with gusto. 'Barto's a pretty good cook. Even the cold and aloof Little Fairy Bird likes his food.'
"Peas?"
Philinos ate one of the soft, tender peas and looked up at Gu Ning.
"Hm?" Gu Ning craned her neck. "You don't like them?"
"You saved me some peas," Philinos said.
Gu Ning said, "If you don't like them, just pick them out."
She had saved a little of every dish for him, but she didn't know which foods he liked or disliked.
Little Fairy Bird's expression was always cold, if not completely blank. His voice was just as cool, betraying no hint of his emotions, and it gave people the impression that he was hard to get close to.
So, she couldn't tell if he actually had a problem with the peas or if it was something else entirely.
"I don't dislike them."
Philinos shoved a large mouthful of peas into his mouth.
