Many of these outsiders simply settled down in the castle and opened shops.
As a result, the castle's architectural styles were wildly eclectic.
Some, like those in Chenxi City, had a more modern flair.
Others were constructed entirely from wood and bamboo in a classical style.
Some were simply built haphazardly from mud and stone, exuding a primitive, barbaric feel.
There were even some constructed entirely of white bone, still bearing dried bloodstains—a chilling sight.
And matching the eclectic architecture were the bizarrely shaped creatures walking the streets.
There were the Dragon-men, with their lizard-like heads, burly and tall frames, variously colored skin, sharp claws, and tails over a meter long.
