The position they sat in was located exactly halfway between the eye of the array and the edge of the arena. This was the core of the Soul Power's impact, the place where it could be felt most clearly. From here, they could better perceive the subtleties of the Soul Power transmitted by the great array and capture the information it contained.
It wasn't impossible to move further forward, but with each step, the Soul Power they had to withstand would increase significantly. For the contestants, it simply wasn't worth it.
For a moment, a peculiar scene unfolded on the arena. The twenty-some seeded contestants were all sitting cross-legged around the halfway point, while the remaining four hundred or so were at the edge.
They were more concerned with playing it safe, so they didn't dare advance rashly.
"Huh? How come there are only twenty-four seeded contestants? Is someone missing?"
Just then, a sudden cry of surprise rang out, drawing the surrounding people's attention.
