Colin was completely disoriented.
A fist slammed into his stomach, and a searing pain shot from his gut to his brain. It felt like his organs had been kneaded together and thrown into a meat grinder. A sour, bitter taste filled his mouth.
When he came to his senses, Colin found himself lying on the ground.
'But this is definitely not the time to be lying down…'
He could clearly see the Centurion standing over him, its Bronze Short Sword hanging in the air and aimed right at his heart!
His dizzy mind cleared in an instant, and a bit of strength returned to his body.
Colin quickly pulled himself together, made a hand gesture, and the Shield spell took effect instantly.
A transparent shield appeared beside him.

The blade fell. The moment it touched the Magic Shield, the transparent Spell Shield began to vibrate violently. Even so, the spell's power could only slightly deflect the Bronze Sword's path.
With a sharp CRACK, the blade still pierced Colin.
