After breakfast, Wei'en had Shawa and Zero keep Tina company in the living room while he returned to his workshop.
"Keep company" was a generous term; the three of them together couldn't sustain a single complete conversation.
Only Zero would look at Tina, then at Shawa, and occasionally ask, "Why do we eat breakfast? Is it good?"
"I don't know. I've never eaten."
"Tina, eat, don't know."
'Don't know? Tina?'
Zero noticed Tina's abnormality and, like a curious baby, mimicked her way of speaking: "Zero, um, Zero asks, can eat?"
Shawa glared at him. "Don't talk like that!"
Tina also looked at him. "Tina, don't know."
"So, what should I call you?" Zero asked Tina. "Mother? Is that..."
BAM!
Miss Zombie slammed a fist on his head, grinding her teeth. "No, it's not!" she squeezed out.
"Oh." Zero scratched his head. He knew this was Shawa expressing her displeasure.
