After a bit of a bumpy ride, we've come to the time to put this book on the shelves. I wonder how many of you followed me over from my last novel? Awkward...
This book's performance has been pretty average so far, but I'm not too disappointed...
As we all know, fantasy novels like this one basically only hit their stride in the middle and late stages—at least one or two million words in. Or, you could say that's when they start becoming a truly satisfying read.
At only a hundred or two hundred thousand words, the opening groundwork hasn't even been fully laid. Even if you guys think the early content is decent, you'll still choose to let the chapters pile up, planning to check back in once it hits several hundred thousand or even a million words. Because of that, the daily readership numbers are bound to be low.
