Ordinary spells certainly couldn't stop the charge of a thousand-strong Centaur Corps, but if it were large-scale, terrain-altering Magic, then it was a different story entirely!
After one hundred Elf Mages cast the Sixth Level Spell—Thorn Jungle—in unison, three sides of the Elf Corps were immediately surrounded by a jungle of thorns three to four meters high. The Thorn Jungle was impenetrably dense. The gaps between its tangled thorns were so tight that it would be difficult for even arrows to penetrate, and not even a Divine Archer would dare boast of being able to shoot through them into the area beyond.
The Elf Mages had cast the Fourth Level Spell—Land Hardening—on the ground beneath the Elf Corps' feet. As for the one remaining side not covered by the Thorn Jungle, the Elf Mages had cast even more Magic upon it:
