"Why did you bring me to your place?" Aria Sterling couldn't help but ask.
Julian Grant glanced at her. "Won't your grandfather worry if you go home looking like this? You can shower and change at my place. It won't be too late to go home after that."
Hearing this, Aria Sterling remembered that she had left in a rush without properly freshening up. She certainly couldn't let her grandfather see her in this state.
"You're so thoughtful." She smiled and followed him inside.
When she came out after her shower, Julian Grant was in the living room on the phone. He hung up just as she drew near.
"My company has a cocktail party tonight. Want to come with me and relax?"
Aria Sterling considered it for a moment. Since she had nothing else to do, she nodded in agreement.
"I have to head out for a bit. I'll be back to pick you up later."
