But it was clear that Jensen wasn't willing to believe a single word.
He'd rather believe nothing at all than be deceived one more time.
This left Shi Li at a complete loss.
Seeing Jensen's obvious trauma response, Shi Li didn't dare get closer, but she couldn't leave him either.
"Then what will it take for you to believe us?" Shi Li asked tentatively.
"Believe you? I'd rather she never came at all!"
"I won't believe anyone!"
"I don't know why you deliberately let me out, but I don't want to see you!" If Jensen had any strength left, he would have lunged at them and torn into them with his teeth.
But he had no strength now. Even speaking loudly made his vision go black.
'Oh god,' Shi Li thought. 'The trickiest problem right now is figuring out how to get Jensen out of here.'
Leaving him here was out of the question. His injuries were severe. Even if Spiritual Soothing could stabilize his mind, it would only prolong his consciousness for a short while.
