Lan Qi squinted at the particularly vicious-looking tiger cub, a dark glint flashing in his eyes as he slowly walked toward him.
Jing Kang watched him warily. All the fur on his body stood on end, and a low, threatening warning rumbled from his throat. His small, thin body trembled with fear, yet he refused to leave Su Yu's feet.
Su Yu looked from Jing Kang to Lan Qi in surprise. "What's going on?"
Ever since Jing Kang had arrived today, he had been clinging to her, staying quietly by her side. Even when he made a sound, it was just a soft, cub-like whimper.
'So why did he bristle the second he saw Lan Qi?'
She raised an eyebrow at the approaching Lan Qi. "Did you bully him?"
"You've got it all wrong." Lan Qi stopped in his tracks, whining pitifully to Su Yu. "Do I look like the kind of person who would bully a little cub?"
'Bullying little cubs is something that hypocritical sheep, the one who pretends to be a gentleman, would do!'
