The ground trembled as Lan Qi landed heavily outside the cave. His beast form had grown another size larger, almost as big as a small hill, and the earthy green glow around his body intensified.
Shengqing stood at the cave entrance with Su Yu in his arms. Su Yu looked up at the enormous black-and-white rabbit before them, her brow furrowed with worry. "What's wrong with Lan Qi? Is he going to be okay?"
"He won't die. From the looks of it, this might be a blessing in disguise. He's about to have a breakthrough, and his superpower is mutating. He'll be stronger when he wakes up," Shengqing said, reassuring Su Yu as he stared at Lan Qi.
Shi Wei came over to Su Yu's side with the little cubs and tutted. "This rabbit sure is lucky."
Su Yu sighed helplessly. "I'd rather we have a little less of this kind of luck."
'It's making my heart pound.'
"He's not going to wake up anytime soon. Yu Yu, let's go get something to eat first, shall we?" Shi Wei suggested, looking at her.
