A hint of doubt crossed Su Yu's face. As she walked closer, she asked, "Could you have mistaken him for someone else?"
"North Beast City is a long way from the South Sea, isn't it? It was still winter just a few days ago. With the weather being so cold, why would Kasen travel all the way here from North Beast City?"
As she spoke, Su Yu got a full view of the large lion lying in the bushes.
He was in a wretched state. His abdomen was covered in a network of crisscrossing wounds, and one eye had been slashed by a sharp blade, leaving it a bloody, mangled mess. He looked utterly battered and miserable.
Su Yu's expression grew solemn.
'If this big lion really is Kasen, then what in the world happened in North Beast City? What could have driven him to brave the frigid winds and come all the way to the South Sea?'
'And who gave him these injuries?'
