The sun had just set when Shi Wei and the others returned. Earl Li was carrying two entirely red fish, each as long as his arm.
Earl Li slowly floated toward Su Yu, fish in hand. Just as he was about to give them to her, he suddenly stopped, his nose twitching as he sniffed the air intently.
After sniffing for a moment, his brows furrowed tightly. He began to float all over the platform, pawing at the stones on the ground.
His puppy-like sniffing made Su Yu chuckle, and she asked with some curiosity, "Earl Li, what are you looking for?"
Earl Li didn't answer, just focused on pawing through the loose stones in the eastern corner of the platform.
Shi Wei had just brought a basin of water in, planning to pour it into the stone pot to make a stew Su Yu liked. As he passed behind Earl Li, a stone fell from above and landed right in the wooden basin with a loud PLONK, splashing water all over him.
