Su Yu shot Shengqing a glance and walked out, scowling. "Yujing! What on earth are you—Ah!"
Before she could finish her sentence, an arm suddenly tightened around her waist. The world spun around her as Yujing threw her over his shoulder. He made a quick escape, tossing a line back to Shengqing: "I'm taking Yu Yu out for a walk! You watch the house!"
His thuggish behavior drew a frustrated laugh from Su Yu. She gave his waist a hard pinch. "Put me down! This is uncomfortable!"
Yujing's whole body tensed, but he didn't put her down. Instead, he gave her a slight toss, shifting from shouldering her to carrying her in his arms, and then broke into a run.
She had no idea how far he ran. When he finally stopped, the sight that greeted Su Yu was a sky full of dancing fireflies and flowers that glowed with a soft, ethereal light in the night.
A gentle breeze rustled by, sweeping petals into a soft dance through the air.
