Su Yu was confused and bewildered, unable to understand why Huai Xu was avoiding her.
So, during their lunch break, Su Yu decided to call Huai Xu over and ask him about it. But before she could say a word, she saw him silently pick up the Beast Skin Skirts that she and the cubs had changed out of last night, then turn and walk toward the river.
"Huai Xu!" Su Yu called out to him. But upon hearing her voice, Huai Xu only walked faster.
Su Yu frowned, quickened her pace to follow, and called out, a little vexed, "You, stop right there!"
Huai Xu's body stiffened, but he obediently stood his ground without moving.
Su Yu walked up to him and asked with a serious expression, "Why are you avoiding me?"
Clutching the Beast Skin Skirts, Huai Xu kept his eyes lowered, not looking at her. He remained silent and didn't walk away.
Losing her patience, Su Yu took two more steps toward him and said fiercely, "Don't just stand there like a mute. Speak!"
