"Of course not. It's just..." Xun Yu added a few pieces of firewood to the stove before getting up and walking over to her. He crouched down, took her hand, and pressed it against his cheek, his deep eyes gazing at her. "Yu Yu, it's been a long time since you've really looked at me."
It wasn't just him.
For the past half-month, Yu Yu's attention had been entirely consumed by those damned Star Beasts. She had neglected all of them for far too long.
It wasn't that he was a Beast Husband who couldn't handle being alone, it's just... he still felt a little down and lonely at times.
Su Yu looked down at him, her eyelashes fluttering. 'It's true,' she realized with a start. 'For the past half a month, my mind really hasn't been on my Beast Husbands. All I've done is hunt down Star Beasts.'
