It needed enough fantastical Magical Creatures, and it had to be something that could spread easily...
The moment this requirement was stated, several stories popped into Isaac's mind: from the East, Mountains and Seas; from the West, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland; and the globally popular Pokemon.
To be honest, all three stories were quite good. Though they came from different cultures, the differences weren't actually that great. The appeal of such tales lies in the sense of wonder their various fantastical Magical Creatures evoke in readers. The only thing was that Mountains and Seas would need to be translated into a more modern, colloquial style.
However, through Fiona, Isaac also came to a realization. 'So... fantasy and Legends can actually be combined with my own Magic System?'
